Dmitry Medvedev, the top-ranked official of the Russian government who served both as President and Prime Minister, has broken the internet with his 2023 predictions. Medvedev has made ten predictions for the New Year, which he calls “humble,” while others are calling them “bold” or “wildest.”
Medvedev’s predictions included Britain’s rejoining the EU and an oil price hike to $150 per barrel.
The UK exited the EU in 2020, known as Brexit, and it is the only sovereign country left the EU.
The series of tweets by Medvedev consisted of other predictions like those on the World Bank and IMF, the stock market, civil war in the USA, Elon Musk winning the US presidential poll, the Fourth Reich, and a number of happenings to impact international relations heavily.
Medvedev, in his tweet thread on Monday, wrote that everybody makes predictions on New Year’s eve, among which there remain some “futuristic hypotheses,” and he also wants to predict what is going to happen in 2023 humbly. Did the high-ranking official predict something on the most-talked-about recession 2023?
On the New Year’s Eve, everybody’s into making predictions
Many come up with futuristic hypotheses, as if competing to single out the wildest, and even the most absurd ones.
Here’s our humble contribution.

Those are definitely the most absurd predictions I’ve ever heard, while also showing astonishing lack of awareness of the progress of artificial intelligence and sustainable energy.

Netizens trolled the Russian government official for his hypotheses.
These are wishes, not predictions…..
