At the end of the month, Jin, the group’s eldest member, will withdraw his appeal to delay his enlistment and take the appropriate measures. The six additional BTS members also intend to join the armed forces. The band hopes to start making contacts after their service commitment. According to a statement from the corporation, it is expected to end around 2025.
When will they Enlist for Military Duties?
They provided no additional details regarding the timing of their service. The band’s weekend performance in Busan marked their final joint performance before they completed their military service. After telling lawmakers earlier this month that it would be desirable for BTS members to complete their military duties to ensure equity in the nation’s military duty, Lee Ki Sik, commissioner of the Military Manpower Administration, made the declaration.
According to the representatives of the Military Manpower Administration, the K-Pop artists will undergo the same procedure as ordinary South Korean men upon enrolling. Jin and other BTS members will undergo five weeks of combat training before being allocated to individual units and tasks. By law, the most able-bodied men in South Korea must serve in the military for 18 to 21 months. However, athletes and artists who perform well in events abroad that are linked to a country’s reputation receive specific exemptions.
