With this year’s presentation of the People’s Sexiest Man Alive, Stephen Colbert had some fun, teasing his viewers and even briefly making them think that perhaps, just perhaps, it was him. He said he was honored to announce that People Magazine had chosen to offer me the tremendous distinction of revealing the Sexiest Man Alive.
It was Colbert’s second time presenting the award. The year before, he properly vetted the recipient in a wonderfully awkward “Sexiness Research Institute” segment in which Paul Rudd was handled worse than a contender in a dog show. The two remaining contenders for this year’s titles are John Oliver and Chris Evans, who he did announce by bringing back the LSSC Sexiness Research Institute.
John’s Reaction
They appreciate John’s willingness to participate in the phony envelope reveal and the true winning announcement of Chris Evans as the Sexiest Man Alive. John yelled indignantly before slamming out of the studio, “Stop the thievery.” At least he was present to be rejected in person.
Chris is presently filming. Therefore, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the former Sexiest Man Alive, was the individual who got to witness the momentous occasion. The former Sexiest Man Alive offering Chris support made him very happy. Dwayne explained that as long as he was still sexy and alive, perhaps the best he could do was offer to share the title. However, he did not like that word.
