If public transportation is what you are looking for, pin the nearby stops or station-related information on your device or Apple Watch. You will receive automated updates and receive notifications as you ride and are about to reach your destination stop or station.
While you travel on foot, a new feature related to augmented reality will allow you to scan the buildings and the structures nearby with the camera on the iPhone so that it can determine the location and direction accurately.
Apple Maps will also warn you about bad weather and send warnings in the routes that you are taking if you see it in the suggested route. If you are new to a place and not sure about how the journey will turn out to be, you get notification about flash floods, if it is likely to happen on the route that you have embarked upon.
Facial Recognition features
Apple announced that it would add the feature of ID Card support for Wallet in the iOS 15 addition. This new feature will let you carry digital versions of identification cards that are issued by the government such as your driving license on the iPhone you are using. However, this feature will be available only for users in the United States.
Apple might also be making use of facial recognition selfies so that it can validate the digital ID Cards when you add them to your wallet.
