FaceTime Upgrades

iMessage new features
With the iOS 15 update, there are a few new features related to iMessage that you will be able to enjoy. These features are related to articles, playlists, news, and photos. If you happen to receive photographs over iMessage, all these pictures will appear in form of a collage and you will be able to swipe the photos one after the other. Update of Apple Maps
With the new update, the Apple Maps gets additional features like elevation data, the color of the roads you are looking for, labels, 3D landmarks, driving directions, and all these are also available in the night mode.
If public transportation is what you are looking for, pin the nearby stops or station-related information on your device or Apple Watch. You will receive automated updates and receive notifications as you ride and are about to reach your destination stop or station.
While you travel on foot, a new feature related to augmented reality will allow you to scan the buildings and the structures nearby with the camera on the iPhone so that it can determine the location and direction accurately.
Apple Maps will also warn you about bad weather and send warnings in the routes that you are taking if you see it in the suggested route. If you are new to a place and not sure about how the journey will turn out to be, you get notification about flash floods, if it is likely to happen on the route that you have embarked upon.

Facial Recognition features
Apple announced that it would add the feature of ID Card support for Wallet in the iOS 15 addition. This new feature will let you carry digital versions of identification cards that are issued by the government such as your driving license on the iPhone you are using. However, this feature will be available only for users in the United States.
Apple might also be making use of facial recognition selfies so that it can validate the digital ID Cards when you add them to your wallet.

How to download iOS 15?
The iOS update is available nowadays. If you have received a notification from Apple that you are eligible to update, here is what you must do for the same.
- Update as per message from Apple else you can manually do so as well that is explained in the points below.
- Go to the Settings app, General, Software Update, Go to Available section, tap on Upgrade iOS 15.
- If you already have the Beta version on your iPhone, you must first uninstall it and then download the final version of the operating system.
