The long-awaited meeting between U.S President Joe Biden and Chinese leader Xi Jinping is going to happen finally, as Xi reaches Indonesia’s Bali on Monday ahead of the G20 summit. The summit is crucial as it occurs amid tensions over the Russia-Ukraine war.
Key Focus of the Meeting
The leaders will likely take up several issues such as Taiwan, North Korea’s nuclear stand, and Ukraine situations, among other things, which will be discussed at the G20 opening on Tuesday, excluding Vladimir Putin.
Elon Musk was there as Well
Meanwhile, the new Twitter owner Elon Musk, who is always in the talks now, addressed a forum as a part of the summit. Biden further stated while addressing the Asian leaders that maintaining peace in Taiwan is of utmost priority for the USA. After attending the East Asia Summit, Biden flew to Bali from Cambodia.
USA-China Relationship
The relationship between the USA and China has deteriorated severely in the recent past, fueled by issues like Taiwan, U.S restrictions on tech products of China and other trade practices. But the USA admitted that both countries are trying hard to restore good terms.
