Tips for Email Marketing

    What is Email Marketing?

Email marketing is a marketing strategy done through email to send certain promotions regarding a product or service. This strategy can be classified as direct or digital marketing. Email newsletter can help your organization disseminate your latest offers, promotions, and services, resulting in brand awareness, generation of leads, and connection with your customers.

How will you be able to get the best out of email marketing?  There are various ways to succeed in using email marketing. But before getting into the depth of marketing tips, you should be aware first that there are two best-known marketing platforms that you can choose from. These are Mailchimp and Aweber.

These platforms provide solutions that can help you maximize the use of email marketing to incorporate tips. You can choose among the two platforms — Aweber vs. Mailchimp, depending on which one fits the most with your business.

What are the Email Types You May Use?

There are three types of emails classified by pronto marketing: marketing, transactional, and operational emails.

    • Marketing Emails. These are emails sent to clients, which usually contain information regarding products or services. The contents of this type of email are mostly promotional ads, newsletters, surveys, announcements, etc. Therefore, if you send an announcement of an upcoming event, you are sending a marketing email.
    • Transactional Emails. You deliver a transactional email when you send confirmations, received payment, tracking of orders, welcome messages, and the likes. These types of emails are usually sent to clients when they have prior engagements with your company.
    • Operational Emails. These emails involve significant information regarding some changes with your operation. For instance, you will be changing your operational hours, or there will be unavailability of your service or any event connected with your operation, and you emailed your clients. That is when you are engaging in an operational email.

Tips for a Successful Email Marketing

    • Set up a Subscriber List

When you plan to enter marketing emails, you should start by collecting the list of prospects to be emailed. How will you be able to do so?  You can have a long list of emails by putting subscription forms on your webpage, which will become a platform for you to receive a continuous number of prospects and clients.

Aside from that, one of the best means of getting numbers of an email list is through Aweber and Mailchimp, the two leading marketing emails solution.

With the employment of these strategies, you can have more clients and prospects that can guarantee more success.

    • Make Your Emails Personal

To make your emails personal, you can use marketing email solutions. Sending personal emails than general ones will be much appealing to the leads or prospects. You can gain more replies than the usual way of addressing your clients or leads.

    • Have Irresistible Subject Lines

Communicate with your prospects directly and give them offers that they cannot resist. You can make your email catchier, which can generate more replies. Incorporating marketing solutions that can personalize the content of your emails can help you do this successfully.

    • Sort Out Your List by Demographics

Sorting your email list by their demographics will enable you to create contents that appeal to the leads and prospects the most. Targeting their “weak point” when it comes to content can lead them to respond and avail of what you are offering.

    • Make Your Emails Concise, Easy to Read, and Content-Wise

Nothing can beat an email that is short but impactful because one of the crucial things in this strategy is the readers’ time. If your email content is too long and takes up time to read, readers would tend to ignore your email and delete it right away.

To avoid that, making it as concise as possible and content-wise would help.

Thereafter, they will be forced to read the content since it won’t take up too much time. Making them read it can escalate the probability of having a response.

    • Be Aware of Email Regulations

Your effort will go to waste if your emails will just be put in spam.

So, you should be aware of the email regulations of where your prospects are, such as the CAN-SPAM Act in the USA, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe, Canadian Anti-Spam Law (CASL), and many more.

Knowing the regulation of your prospects’ location can prevent your email from being place into spam. Thus, learning them must be a priority before sending out the emails.

    • Unsubscribing Should be Easy

If the lead found it hard to unsubscribe, they will doubt the credibility of your offer. With that, your email might end up in spam.

    • Format Your Email Applicable for Mobile View

Making your email format fit on mobile viewing is a plus factor in sending marketing emails. Hence, most of the time, people check out their phones, and mobile phones are one of the devices people keep with them all the time. So, making it attractive even on mobile phones is an edge for your emails.

    • Only Send What is Needed

Sending too many emails is quite annoying on the receiver counterpart. That is why, if you already got your reader’s trust, do not send them too many emails. Only send what’s necessary. Because if you flood their feed with your emails, they may irritate them and unsubscribe.

    • Check Your Emails

Before your emails, always be mindful of how they may appear on your client’s device. Not only that, but you should also check if they will function the way you designed them to be. Like you should test if the links are working.

In addition, you can also conduct an A/B Testing to experiment with different versions of your emails. Through its application, you will be able to determine what version appeals the most to your respondents.

    • Keep an Eye on Your Data Progress

You should be mindful of every detail of your data. Keep in check of converted subscriber and unsubscribe rate, opened and unopened emails, and the likes. By doing so, you will be able to analyze the behavior of your prospects or leads which you can use to improve your strategy.

Equipped with these tips, you can now start your email marketing journey.
