A fleet of robotaxis from Tesla will be unveiled by the company. As long as the Tesla robotaxi release date is concerned, it will be in 2024, which is two years from now, and the best part is these robotaxis will have no steering, and there will be no option for the human driver to drive these vehicles.
Robotaxi: optimized for autonomy
In the event of an earnings call on Wednesday, the chief executive officer of Tesla, Elon Musk, stated that the robotaxi is “highly optimized for autonomy” and will be devoid of a steering wheel or pedals.
During the earnings call, he also gave hints about other exciting innovations, stating that the main objective is to attain the lower cost-per-mile possible. He also said that the cost of riding a bus would be higher than riding a Tesla robotaxi. Elon Musk went on to say that this innovation will be one of the biggest drivers for the company, and it will be a powerful product.

The Tesla robotaxi will be manufactured next year, but on a mass scale, it will arrive only in 2024. The same was revealed at the company’s recent event, “Cyber Rodeo”, while also stating that the vehicle’s appearance will be “quite futuristic.” He has been mentioning them since 2019, although then, he mentioned those lineups of standard cars of the company that would have a certain degree of autonomous driving features.
