Sell Your House Online With Some of the Best Real Estate Websites

USA’s real estate market is bustling with activity. As per estimates, home prices swelled 18.8% in 2021. Higher prices translate into an increasing number of homeowners wanting to sell their homes without realtors to save on commissions.

However, selling your house yourself is a big undertaking that demands plenty of energy, time, and resources. Thankfully there are some for sale by owner websites that have eased the process.

We have compiled a list of the best real estate websites in the US to help you choose the top site for your sale.

    Best real estate websites

    • Houzeo

Houzeo has been regarded as one of the USA’s best real estate websites for many reasons. The company’s plans are a reasonable flat fee. This saves sellers thousands.

If the buyer does not have an agent, then the seller also saves on the buyer’s agent commission.

Home listings are syndicated to the local Multiple Listing Service – the one-shop-stop for all realtors and hundreds of other websites like Zillow, Trulia, Redfin, etc.

Houzeo’s social media sharing tools are also very efficient, giving sellers unmatched exposure. The company is online, making listing and any changes to it fast and easy.

Past customers have rated the website 4.9/5 on review platforms like Trustpilot and Google.

With its cutting-edge technology, this for sale by owner websites allows sellers to manage their listing entirely online, show appointments online, and compare offers.

    • Zillow

The list of best real estate websites is incomplete without mentioning Zillow, which is touted to be the USA’s largest online marketplace for real estate.

It gets an estimated 270 million visitors every month. Paired with its sister site Trulia, the platform multiplies your exposure.

Listing your house on Zillow is free.

However, it is worth noting that the company recently made some changes to separate FSBO listings from agented listings. This has made it more challenging for buyers to see FSBO listings.

    • FSBO.com

This is one of the oldest for sale by owner websites in the US, offering countrywide coverage and low-cost packages.

Operational since 1997, FSBO.com has garnered industry clout, making it a reputable source with a fair amount of traffic.

FSBO.com provides two packages, priced at $99 and $399. But its base package is not recommended because it is pretty barebones. It does not even offer MLS exposure.

However, their second package is worth the money and time. On the technology front, the platform is still not very strong, and most of the processes are still manual.

    • Fizber

Fizber is also a pan-USA service that lets sellers list their FSBO properties. While it is free to list your home on the website, the company also has some paid offers.

While its $95 package does not offer great value, its $295 offering gives excellent exposure to the local MLS and others for sale by owner websites. Shell out $100 more, and you can add 25 images to your listing.

Like FSBO.com, the listing process on Fizber is also manual. Manual updating or changing documents makes the listing process lengthy and tedious.

    • Beycome

This is another addition to the list of best real estate websites. Beycome is a flat-fee MLS service with a presence in most of the Southeast, California, and a few other states.

There are three packages, but usually, only two are deemed worth considering, i.e. the basic plan that costs $99 and the Enhanced package that costs $299.

These two plans offer good value for money, MLS access, unlimited changes to the listing, and a much greater photo limit than others.

Its Concierge package, which costs $499, comes with a dedicated broker and is not FSBO. There is also an upfront fee of 1% of the sale price, and this plan may not work for all.

    • ISoldMyHouse

I Sold My House is another for sale on the owner’s website. It offers two packages: $299 and $399. The only difference between the two packages is the number of images one can upload.

The first plan allows six photos, while the advanced one allows 25. One of the good features is that they forward all the buyer leads directly to the seller.

Your property gets maximum exposure as the listing is advertised on websites like Redfin, Zillow, and many more. The listing can be canceled anytime.

The plans are not very flexible, though, and few options are available for a la carte buys.

    Final word

If you are a seller who wants complete control over your home sale process and wants to save money on the listing agent’s commission, then FSBO is an option worth considering. Selling your house is one of the biggest financial decisions of your life. Don’t pick the wrong website. Make your choice wisely. Check out Houzeo reviews for a better understanding.
