BTS, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Lizzo, and Elizabeth Olsen won several awards at the People’s Choice Awards 2022, presented on Tuesday in California’s Santa Monica. The show aired on NBC and E! News and was hosted by Kenan Thompson.
Taylor Swift Won Three Awards
Taylor Swift won awards for the music video of 2022, “Anti-Hero,” the album of 2022, which is Midnights, and the female artist of the year. Midnights topped the Billboard 200 for five consecutive weeks since its release.
BTS Grabbed Two Awards
BTS was awarded for being the best group of 2022 and the best concert tour of 2022. Jung Kook from BTS won an award for the featured role he played in “Left and Right” by Charlie Purth. Kook grabbed the collaboration song of 2022 award. The collab snatched the no. 22 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier in July.
Lizzo and “About Damn Time” were Recognized
Lizzo’s “About Damn Time” received the song of 2022 awards in the 2022 People’s Choice Awards. The American singer and rapper also grabbed the honorary People’s Champion Award.
“About Damn Time” grabbed the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 list in July and August for two weeks. It is nominated at the upcoming Grammy Awards for song and record of the year.
Selena Gomez wasn’t too far
The comedy TV star of 2022 award went to Gomez for “Only Murders in the Building.” She also received the social celebrity of the year award.
Olsen Grabbed a Couple of Awards
Elizabeth Olsen grabbed both the female movie star award and the action movie star award of 2022 for Doctor Strange.
