GOP republicans elect George Santos confessed to lying about his professional career, resume, and college while running his election campaign. But he also claimed that he didn’t commit any crime and wants to serve his full term as a congressman. He added that he is much more concerned about the people and less about his resume and will keep the promises he made during the poll campaign.
In two interviews on Monday, one with the New York Post and the other with the WABC radio, George admitted that he faked parts of his education and job profile.
George Santos Confession
The New York Times George Santos coverage raised questions about the life story the Republican elect presented during his voting campaign, and thus George news hit the headlines.
Speaking about the allegations publicly for the first time, George confessed that he doesn’t have a graduation degree from any institute and is sorry for embellishing his resume. “We do stupid things in life,” added the Rep-elect.
To the people of #NY03 I have my story to tell and it will be told next week. I want to assure everyone that I will address your questions and that I remain committed to deliver the results I campaigned on; Public safety, Inflation, Education & more.
Happy Holidays to all!

About his Career
Santos, 34, said about his work experience that he worked for Goldman Sachs and Citigroup. But both the companies rejected the claim stating that they couldn’t find any such record.
Instead of directly confessing that he lied, Santos said to Post that his choice of words was poor and that he never “worked directly” for any financial firms. He served as a vice president for the investment company Link Bridge which used to do business with Goldman Sachs and Citigroup.
About “Jew-ish” background
Apart from the New York Times George Santos saga, The Forward, the Jewish American site also questioned a claim of the campaign website of Santos regarding his Ukriane-born ‘Jewish’ grandparents’ fleeing to Belgium first and then to Brazil.
Later, Santos said he is a Catholic and never claimed to be Jewish. His maternal family, as claimed by the GOP elect during his confession, somehow had a Jewish background, and he was “Jew-ish.”
The campaigning website claimed that the grandparents of Santos were Ukrainian Jewish refugees who later changed their surnames. But no source could verify any Jewish connection to Santos and his family. But the fact is that the New York GOP-elect boasted of holding a “Jewish heritage” earlier in November 2022 while appearing with the Jewish News Syndicate.
Did he Really Admit his Guilt?
In his interview with WABC radio, Santos said he had committed no crime anywhere. He said many people know him and have been doing business with him.
Despite agreeing that he is guilty, Santos pleaded his innocence, claiming that many people fabricate parts of their resume or twist facts.
How did Social Media React?
The overall George news regarding the revelation of his twisted claims made the House GOP leadership silent throughout the last week.
But, there have been criticisms all over social media, and the Democrats are even demanding the resignation of George Santos.
George Santos should resign as Congressman-elect. If he refuses, Congress should expel him. He should also be investigated by authorities.
Just about every aspect of his life appears to be a lie. We’ve seen people fudge their resume but this is total fabrication. https://t.co/HJ1cCzy72s

BREAKING: George Santos admits his life story is a complete fabrication. His pitiful confession should not distract us from concerns about possible criminality and corruption.
The Ethics Committee MUST investigate how he made his money. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.

George Santos now claims he merely “embellished” his resume.
Umm, no. He made up entire degrees and jobs that did not exist. That’s not embellishing, that’s fabricating.
The man is a fraud. He defrauded the voters of his district and must RESIGN — or face a total investigation.

A Look Back in History
George Santos couldn’t succeed in his run for congress in 2020 and again rain in 2022 when he won in the district, including some suburbs in Long Island and a small portion of Queens.
But it’s not the first time George news has hit the headlines.
A George Santos Instagram post in 2021 showed George Santos fiancé accompanying him attending a party on New Year’s eve at Mar-a-Lago, a resort owned by then-President Donald Trump.
George Santos fiancé, as alleged by him, was fired for attending the event. George Santos Mar-a-Lago appearance sparked controversy as the attendees were seen dancing without maintaining any social distancing or wearing masks during the pandemic. Trump didn’t attend the event, whereas several associates of him, including his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani and his sons.
