A self-made man and the Facebook CEO was born in the year 1984 on May 14th in White Plains, New York. He was brought up in Dobbs Ferry. At a very young age, when he was just 12 years old, he developed Zucknet. It was a messaging program. This program was used for his father’s dental practice as a means of communication between the office workforce internally. You could connect with all real people and no one with fake names because the idea of “trusted connections” was emphasized upon with the need to enter your real names. This gave rise to authentic networking and developed the so-called “social graph”.
The group of three shifted their headquarters in the summer of 2004 to Palo Alto, California. Here Mark Zuckerberg entered into talks with Peter Thiel, a venture capitalist to provide “seed money”.

The first-ever infusion (venture capital) into Facebook was received in May 2005 an amount of $12.7 million. Soon the network expanded and if you had a valid email ID, you could sign up for Facebook. He became the owner of Facebook.
In the year 2007, Facebook entered into a deal with Microsoft and received as much as $240 million for a stake of 1.6% in Facebook. This was followed by Digital Sky Technologies buying a stake of 1.96% share of an amount of $200 million.
