Leonid Shayman’s Biography
Born on February 24, 1958, in Omsk, Leonid Shayman began his journey as an athlete. In 1968, he was accepted into a youth hockey school and competed in the children’s ice hockey league. After finishing school, he enrolled in the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, graduating with honors in 1979 with a degree in Physical Education Pedagogy. During his studies, Shayman continued to play hockey, representing the youth team “Avangard” in various championships.
In the 1980s, Shayman transitioned into coaching before eventually moving into the business world.
In the 1990s, he spent several years in Hungary, where he focused on developing a manufacturing business. During this time, he also launched his own medical company, “Avicenna”, an executed a telecommunications project. From 2008 to 2024, Shayman was a co-owner of the European Medical Center.
