Introducing Call of Duty’s New Battle Pass System for MW2 Season 1

Some substantial changes have been made to Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2. The battle pass system has undergone the most significant changes of all. Infinity Ward has entirely revised the battle pass mechanism for Season 1 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0.

The combat pass system no longer progresses horizontally and linearly. Players can now select their pathways and earn rewards on these multi-sector battle maps. According to Senior Producer Dino Verano, the modification was intended to give players a choice in their course, making the game more interesting.

What are the Changes?

There are 21 combat sectors (A0 through A20) in the Season 1 battle pass. A0 is a bonus sector. But Sectors A1 to A20 are related. As players pass the combat pass, adjacent sectors become accessible after completing one sector. Besides, each sector offers five rewards in total, including one High-Value Target (HVT) and four base awards. Among the rewards are weapons, blueprints, operator skins, Call of Duty points, and other items.

Other Modifications

With the new gun screen modification option, you may add a widget to your weapon that displays information like the current time and date in the physical world. A victory sector with even more alluring cosmetics and COD points will be available if you have unlocked all combat sectors (apart from A0). The Olympus King Zeus Operator skin, which includes a gold-plated version of his recognizable helmet and several golden accoutrements, is available in the victory sector.

If you buy the combat pass and finish it, you can gain 1400 COD Points. They are sufficient to pay for the next battle pass.
