First of all, the authors of works need to learn one “golden rule” – the design of the exhibition always primarily depends on its subject matter!
General rules for registration

- Do not pile too much work in one place. Imagine if photos are placed on the wall tightly frame to frame – will it be possible to consider them usually, to think about them? I believe that in this case, a person will simply have a headache from such a chaotic variety, and there will be no talk of any pleasure from the event. Works should be placed at some distance from each other;
- You cannot place small works too high – in this case, they simply will not be visible;
- The background on which the photographs will be placed should be as discreet as possible. If it is very bright and colorful, it will distract the photo’s attention. Ideally, the background color will contrast with the images. Otherwise, the works may simply merge with it;
- It is necessary to think in detail about the moment where people will relax. Usually, such events are also attended to communicate with similar connoisseurs of such art. Therefore places must be provided to relax and talk about the exhibition.
- It is customary to place works at major events by their subject matter. For example, portraits can be presented; in another – landscapes and photos of flowers. Some logic must be felt in the arrangement of the work. An alternative option is to arrange the works by authors, placing the works of one photographer on one wall and another on the other. But in no case should you place the work in a completely chaotic order. This may give the impression of an unprepared spontaneous event, the organization of which, to put it mildly, leaves much to be desired.

If you plan to organize an event for friends or close acquaintances, it is unnecessary to manage everything too formally. In this case, you can arrange a photo exhibition with your own hands: decorations, frames – all this can be done yourself. It will be original if everyone makes a photo frame for their work.
