A greenhouse is a glass-walled structure found predominantly in polar locations. People in those areas grow their plants in greenhouses. The heat is locked in the greenhouse when the sun’s energy enters, and the air remains heated.
The same is true for our planet. The sun heats the planet’s atmosphere during the day, and the heat returns to the atmosphere at night. The heat is trapped by the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere during this process, making the earth’s surface warmer.

Deforestation, excessive use of petrochemicals, use of CFC (Chlorofluorocarbon), rapid industrial development, and CO2 produced by various agricultural activities are all man-made causes of global warming.
Volcanoes, forest fires, and other natural drivers of global warming are examples. The CFC depletes the ozone layer, which promotes global warming and causes climate change.
