Xi Jinping, the leader of China, while speaking at the 20th Party Congress, vowed to lead his country toward the advancement of a nationalistic vision and national rejuvenation.
In his speech at the Party Congress as the Chinese leader for the third time in a row, which is norm-breaking, Jinping sounded quite confident as he highlighted China’s rising influence and growing strength during his initial years in power. He also underlined the challenges and risks the country is facing.

On Taiwan
Jinping said in Taiwan that history’s wheels are rolling toward the rejuvenation and reunification of China, and it should be realized. Thus he cleared his intentions of continuing the efforts for reunification but only a peaceful one, not forcefully.
Taiwan has been the key factor behind the deteriorating relationship between China and the USA.
Covid Zero
Xi vowed to stick to the Chinese policy of making the country free from Covid-19 to protect its economy and people. So, there is no point in backing out from the policy now, added Jinping.
Economy
Further development of the economy is still the top priority for China, said Xi and also reminded that it should be done maintaining national security. The president said the upcoming five years would be crucial for China’s economic development.
Tech
The technology sector is the main driving force for the country’s development, said the Chinese leader, and he defended the importance of self-reliance in this sector.
Common Prosperity
Xi emphasized narrowing down the wealth gap and improving the income distribution system.
Global Ambitions
Xi Jinping, unlike his predecessors, intends to grab the opportunity of raising China’s influence in the global context, and his foreign policies are aimed towards rejuvenation only.
