Russia continued to attack the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, and this time the strike took place with kamikaze drones made by Iran, killing one person, if not more.
The Attacks
Ukrainian officials described the continued strike as a show of extreme desperation. The same drones set oil tanks on fire in Mykolaiv, a port city in Ukraine.
Russian missile strikes in various parts of Ukraine including Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia, killed at least nineteen people. The drones flew into Ukraine from the southern region within a week of the strikes.
The slow-moving drones are low buzzing, and the country is now getting familiar with the sound as there have been repeated drone attacks.
It was around 6.30 am local time on Monday when the explosions began, and the entire city buzzed with car alarms and sirens. Two attacks were targeted at the city center, and the last explosion was seen at 8.10 am local time.
Social media video showed interception when there were efforts to shoot the drones down by gunfire.
Zelensky’s Statement
Ukrainian president Zelensky said that the motives of these attacks were terrorizing the people of his country, but Russia can’t break them this way.
The recent attacks by Russia targeted residential and non-residential buildings and places like railway stations. The central station of Kyiv also faced damage. But the energy infrastructures of Ukraine have been targeted mainly in recent days.
According to media reports, some of the drone fragments had “For Belgorod” written, and Belogord, the Russian city, faced missile attacks that Ukraine allegedly launched. Ukraine, however, denied the claim.
Kamikaze Drones

The drones are loaded with explosives that detonate after the impact and destroy the drone
These drones at first loiter above the target and then attack it
