    Transgender Woman Executed in Missouri for Killing her Ex-girlfriend in 2003

    The first openly transgender woman to be executed in the US is said to have been executed in Missouri on Tuesday. Amber McLaughlin, 49, was executed by lethal injection for the 2003 murder of Beverly Guenther, her lover. McLaughlin was only able to avoid death by the Republican governor of Missouri, Mike Parson, who had earlier said that the state will execute McLaughlin on Tuesday.

    Hong Kong Stocks are Leading Gains with a 2% Increase as Investors Await

    As investors anticipated the release of the Fed’s meeting minutes and kept an eye out for any indications of future interest rate hikes, Hong Kong shares led gains in the Asia-Pacific. The Hang Seng Tech index in Hong Kong gained more than 3.31%, helping the Hang Seng index in Hong Kong gain 2.20%. Mainland Shenzhen Component was down 0.47% and Shanghai Composite was slightly lower in China.

    After Elon Musk’s takeover, Twitter was Sued for Unpaid rent Totaling $136,260

    Elon Musk is attempting to reduce Twitter’s costs as much as possible as his personal fortune declines, and it appears that this has included skipping rent payments at the company’s premises. According to a complaint filed by the building’s landlord last week, Twitter owes $136,260 (£113,601) in past-due rent on its offices on 30th floor of a building in San Francisco.

    The Final Astronaut from Apollo 7 has Passed away

    The first crewed trip of the renowned Apollo program was flown by retired NASA astronaut Walter Cunningham, who passed away early on Tuesday morning at the age of 90, according to NASA. Cunningham joined NASA’s third astronaut class in 1963, becoming one of the organization’s first participants in the human spaceflight program.
