For the Uninitiated
Pokemon is originally a video game series developed by Game Freak. Nintendo and The Pokemon Company published it under the banner of the Pokemon media franchise. After it became an anime series, it became immensely popular and has been running for nine generations, completing twelve hundred episodes. Nintendo recently developed a game of Pokemon, and there are Pokemon movies too.
After Japan, the episodes were telecasted in the USA and later in other countries. The forty-two episodes of the Ultimate Journeys series are available on Netflix for USA users.
The name of the leading character was Satoshi earlier, which was changed to Ash Ketchum by the producers as the series was going to release worldwide.
Ash’s Journey so Far
Ash started his voyage of becoming the world champion after being eligible for a Pokemon trainer’s license at ten with his buddy Pikachu in 1997. Since Pokemon Ash Ketchum vowed to become a master trainer, he trained numerous Pokemons and won league championships but never grabbed the world champion title.
What’s Next?
To celebrate this grand success, the Pokemon Company will reward the fans with a new season of the Ultimate Journeys series next year. The company is yet to announce a premiere date.
But it is a mystery what the series will show after Ash Ketchum has already achieved his goal.
