Bloomberg News reports that many voters that are in debt and the ones that are supposed to benefit from the student loan relief plan of Joe Biden reside in the key so-called battleground states. This was revealed as per a new analysis carried out by the Department of Education.
This analysis which was released on Tuesday breaks down the number of recipients of Pell Grant and borrowers of federal student loan borrowers. Everyone under the plan will be entitled to get relief between $10,000 and $20,000 from the state. Many such people amounting to millions live in those states that might witness close races which could change the balance in the state and Congressional elections this fall during the midterm.
In Florida, 2.4 million people are eligible for the debt forgiveness plan. And around 1.7 million will get relief in Pennsylvania, and 1.5 million in Georgia can expect that their loan will be forgiven. But the analysis, is, however, missing data of approximately 3.8 million of the 43 million anticipated to be eligible for the plan.
Student Debt Forgiveness
In the key states, millions of borrowers are eligible for as much as $10,000 towards student debt forgiveness. In a poll that was held recently comprising 4100 registered voters that were conducted by the youth advocacy group Rise, respondents between ages 18 and 30 accounting for 27% ranked in the student debt forgiveness program which is being considered as the most beneficial move for the Americans that president Biden has taken for the people of United States.
