Elon Musk Hints at Functional Tesla Humanoid Robot Soon

Tesla Inc. might have within months a functional humanoid robot up and running for months, as stated by Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk on Twitter, as he deferred the second AI Day until September 30th for the same reason, as reported by Bloomberg News.

    More about this

First introduced in August 2021, Optimus, at the time of Tesla’s inaugural AI Day, is a robot of the size of a human as envisioned by Musk. The robot will be able to carry out mundane jobs, even grocery shopping.

Also referred to as Tesla Bot, this humanoid robotic will someday possess the potential to be even more significant than the other vehicle business over time, said Musk.

As per a presentation made at the 2021 AI event, Optimus will be of dimensions 173 centimeters which are equivalent to 5ft 8 in height, will weigh approximately 57 kilograms, and will have the capacity to carry a load of 20 kilograms. The robot will be controlled by similar artificial intelligence systems that Tesla is now developing to use in its electric vehicles.

Musk revealed that essentially in the future, the physical task would become a matter of choice. Tesla is the biggest robotics company globally, and its cars are semi-sentient robots on wheels.

Bloomberg News also states that Musk has had a history of unraveling products that are just prototypes that sell a vision before it does exist in reality. His announcement that a humanoid prototype robot would be available by the end of September that is workable instantly caught people’s interest, which was proved by as many as 18,000 likes immediately.
