DIY Arduino-Based Smart Barrier using Stepper Motor

Today we bring you an experiment based on the Arduino-Based Smart Barrier using Stepper Motor. Arduino, a servo motor, and an ultrasonic sensor are utilized in toll tax systems on roads, smart car parking systems, automatic gates, and other applications.

Let’s get started with the design.

    Components Required:

    1. Arduino Uno
    2. LED – 2 Pieces
    3. Ultrasonic Sensor
    4. Servo SG-90
    5. Jumper Wires
    6. Double-Sided Tape
    7. Cardboard Box
    8. Scissors
    9. Mini Breadboard
    10. 1K OHM Resistance – 2 Pieces
    11. Wooden ice-cream stick
    12. DC Adapter 9V or 12V

    Steps to Follow

    1. Placing Arduino in cardboard.
    2. Placing the PCB on the Cardboard beside the Arduino.
    3. Placing the mini breadboard beside the PCBs and let’s start. Connect a jumper from 5V Pin of Arduino to one rail and from Ground of Arduino to another rail of the Breadboard.
    4. Connecting the IN1 Pin of PCB to Pin 9 of Arduino, connect the IN2 Pin of PCB to Pin 10 of Arduino, connect the IN3 Pin of PCB to Pin 11 of Arduino, connect the IN4 Pin of PCB to Pin 12 of Arduino.
    5. Connecting the 9V Battery with Power Socket. And the Emitter is connected to the negative and the positive of Buzzer will be connected to the VCC.
    6. Connecting the Stepper Motor to the PCB. And placing the stepper motor on the cardboard with double-sided tape.
    7. Connecting the VCC to 5V and GND to the Ground, connect the Trigger to Pin 7 of Arduino, connect the Echo to Pin 6 of Arduino, then, with double-sided tape, place the Arduino in this way.
    8. Connecting the first LED Positive to Pin 11 of Arduino and the second LED Positive to Pin 10, with a 1K Resistor in between, connect the negatives of both the LEDs to the Ground, connect the ICE-Cream Stick to the Stepper Motor and upload the code.
    9. Connecting the power supply to the Arduino, we are using a 12V DC Adapter for our project. Now, power up the system.

We hope you enjoyed building this Arduino-Based Smart Barrier using Stepper Motor.
