    2021

    In October, Texas Instruments took over the (erstwhile) Micron 300 mm manufacturing site in Lehi, Utah. The deal was carried out at a valuation of US $900 million.

    The takeover of National Semiconductor 

    On 4th April 2011, TI declared that it had decided to acquire National Semiconductor at a valuation of US $6.5 billion, and it was entirely a cash deal. The company disbursed US $25 per share of the stocks of National Semiconductor, which was 80% higher than the stock price of US $14.07 as of 4th April 2011 closing. The transaction turned Texas Instruments into the world’s biggest manufacturer of analog tech elements. The organizations officially amalgamated on 23rd September 2011.
