Subaru, the four-wheel specialist automaker, entered the battery electric vehicle market (BEV). Although the company has entered late the electric vehicle market, the carmakers whose vehicles are powered by boxer 4WD power trains have entered a collaboration with Toyota for the manufacturing of Subaru Solterra, the first battery Subaru electric vehicle as the brand is trying to keep pace with the rest of the players in the market. In a statement released in 2020, related to Subaru’s future lineup, it said it has plans to offer plug-in hybrids, EVs, and just hybrids that would constitute 40% of the sales across the globe by 2030 and by 100% by 2035.
