Whole-grain starches provide more vitamins, minerals, and fibre than refined or white versions. They are also less likely to cause rapid spikes in your blood sugar.

  • Fruits and Vegetables

They are a good source of fibre, minerals, and vitamins.

Things to Avoid in Diabetes 

A diabetic person has to follow diabetes food restrictions. Some things to avoid in diabetes are-

  • White bread, white rice, sweets and, deep-fried foods
  • Avoid processed fruits or packed fruit juices
  • Say no to fried and breaded vegetables
  • Avoid full-fat dairy products
